Due to construction you may encounter active machinery, uneven surfaces, construction materials, and workers. BE CAUTIOUS. The ground is uneven in places and there is gravel, mud, etc. Please watch your step. There are large pieces of machinery moving about during "business hours" as well. Please make eye contact and get an "OK" from the machine operators or designated ground operators before proceeding past them.

Excessively cutoff shirts, bodybuilder style stringer tanks, etc are prohibited [among other dress code regulations] in an effort to help prevent the spread of skin-to-equipment-to-skin diseases such as ringworm or MRSA.

read moreQ: Are classes ever canceled? A: There is always a slight possibility that classes will be reduced or eliminated if they fall on a government-appointed holiday. Jonetta is notorious for scheduling a special class for the truly dedicated. We will try to get a substitute instructor if for any reason the class' normal instructor is unable to make it to class. There are rare occasions where something comes up, and we just can't avoid canceling a class.

A: We hold found items in dated envelopes at the front desk of each location. Just ask a front desk person for assistance, and he/she will be glad to look to see if your stuff is in our lost and found. After a short time, unclaimed items are donated to charity.

A: Common Courtesies: We mention gym etiquette immediately when you sign up in the hopes that you will be more aware of how your behavior affects other members. Q: I was in the middle of class when my cell phone started ringing. I went to answer it, and the instructor whipped a water bottle at me. Why can't I talk on my phone in the gym? A: Cell Phone Etiquette: You can talk on your phone in the gym. But it's RUDE when it interferes with other members' ability to enjoy a class or workout session.

read moreThis location is in the Westport area only a mile from the Country Club Plaza. Our entrance is on the west side of The Uptown Shoppes building. So in other words, we are behind the building. You will have to drive down the north side or the south side of The Uptown Shoppes to find us. There is only one pair of double doors on this side of the building. If there are security guards at the entrance to the parking lot, please stop for them. They will ask you what event you are attending. Tell them you are heading to theGYMkc.
