When you sell your car you'll need to go to a Notary Public. The Notary will ask you for identification such as your driver's license. The seller and the buyer usually go to the Notary together, although the buyer doesn't have to be present when the seller signs the title. The back of the title will be filled out with the buyer's name and address, the selling price, and the miles on the automobile. Then you will sign the title in front of the Notary, and the Notary will sign.
