Side Pockets

In the fall of 1993, Keith Robinson (Founder and President of Side Pockets. Had sold his Bar & Grill situated in Overland Park, Kansas and he was searching for a new venture. With the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) awareness program making a strong statement against the consumption of alcoholic beverages, he felt the time was right to open a sports bar / billiards parlor that would put more emphasis on indoor entertainment and less emphasis on drinking. He contacted his friend and pool-playing buddy, Richard Hawkins, and proposed a partnership.
