I went on Yelp and found Smart Air. My bf called on a Sunday and within a few hours, Matt G. came in person to diagnose. We really wanted the A/C fixed ASAP because the next day would be Labor Day. He gave us an estimate and told us that he was going to search for the fan blade if it was available locally and fortunately he did. He worked until 8:30PM and got our unit up and running that same day! Our total cost was event lower than what was quoted. Matt was friendly, accommodating and did an excellent job.

Around 1:00, Jeannie called back to say I was next on the list and she was sorry about the delay (not necessary, but super nice of her to call). She then texted me and said Justin would be out within the half hour. Justin called to confirm and was out within 30 mins.
Turned out to be a minor issue and he fixed it on the spot. He was here for around an hour total, and I'm back in business. Cold air has been pumping full blast since he left. Price was very reasonable ($85 for the service call + $117 to clear out a clogged line), and Justin gave me several maintenance tips to extend the life of my HVAC.
All around a great experience! I would definitely use these guys again.

I gave them a five star review two years ago when they installed my system originally and now another one after a component failed a couple of nights ago (which was absolutely NOT their fault). My outside unit began switching on and off repeatedly around 1:30am. I called Smart Air the next morning and Matt found time to squeeze me in that same day. Squeeze probably isn't the right word since he spent about two and a half hours working on the system. He discovered a part that needed to be replaced that would have to be tracked down. Chris showed up the very next day with the part and got me up and running again. Both guys were super nice, extremely knowledgeable, and let me know exactly what happened, why it happened, and what they were doing to fix it. Outstanding service!

read moreWith the first cold snap of the year I discovered my furnace wasn't engaging and we were left with no heat on a Saturday. After calling numerous HVAC companies with no luck I found Smart Air Service on Yelp. (Should have started there!) Office admin, Jeanie, was extremely kind and organized and dispatched Matt for a same day, very professional diagnostic check. Turned out to be a bad gas valve. Parts were ordered and upon speedy receipt Tech Brian who was also extremely polite and knowledgeable was able to fix the unit in a timely manner. The overall cost was exactly what they quoted me with no hidden costs. Smart Air completed the job for hundreds less than what others had quoted me and in just a few days rather than all the other "after the holidays" estimates I received. Thanks so much Brian, Jeanie & Matt! You saved our Thanksgiving and I will definitely be using Smart Air again for any future HVAC needs.

This is the second time I am relying on this company to fix issues. This time around the problem was less clear but explanations were awesome and the capacitor was about to die, so the tech didn't fix what didn't need fixing but fixed what was about to go bad. You can't ask for more in my book!

We have an old system that is somewhat cobbled together. Ms. Tang was very thorough with her inspection and assessment. And the furnace exhaust vent was disconncted releasing heat and fumes into the attic which she took the iniative to correct, THANK YOU! I know something about AC from working with automotive systems as an auto shop owner for 41 years. When Ms. Tang left I knew a whole lot more about my home HVAC. Not sure about what is next in the plan, but if we decide on a major upgrade Smart Air gets first shot at it!

Shane the owner of Smart Air is always prompt in responding and takes an interest in his customers. Always attentive, always responsive and hires great staff like Derek who recently came by to unclog my line. Smart Air installed my new system and I continually go to them for ongoing maintenance. Smart Air is a local Austin company and for $16 a month they will come out twice a year to make sure everything is working great, thereby avoiding any potential costly repairs with proactive maintenance.
