Credit Union in Lakewood, CO Sooper Credit Union was established by eight King Soopers employees who met with the President of the Colorado Credit Union League on an evening in November 1951 in the living room of one of these employees. These founding members contributed a total of $157. 00 to create the original capital for the credit union. The official charter was granted by the State of Colorado, Department of Banking on December 21, 1951. The original charter allowed the credit union to serve employees of King Soopers.

Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government. This unique program provides up to an additional $250,000 of insurance once a credit union members' balance exceeds the coverage provided by the primary share insurer (NCUA).

read moreInterest is compounded and credited monthly. Early withdrawal penalties may apply. Withdrawals and fees may reduce earnings. If a CD product is redeemed prior to the date of maturity, the penalty assessed is 90 days of interest. You must maintain a minimum daily balance of $500.00 in your account each day to obtain the disclosed APY. You will earn dividends for every day during the period that your account equals or exceeds the minimum daily balance requirement. The APY assumes dividends will remain on deposit until maturity.
