South Community Family YMCA Child Care

Since 1980, YMCA Childcare Resource Service (YMCA CRS) has been dedicated to building strong children, strong families, and strong communities by enhancing the quality of child care and supporting families in San Diego County. Under the leadership of Jean Brunkow, YMCA CRS received funding from two contracts with the State Department of Education and operated out of one office. During that 1st year, CRS served 15, 000 parents and kids.
