The Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives is a worldwide center for the study of Baptist history. Managed by the Council of Seminary Presidents, the SBHLA is one of the main denominational collections in the nation and serves by assignment of the Southern Baptist Convention as the central depository and archives of SBC records. The Library and Archives is situated on the 4th floor of the Southern Baptist Convention Building at 901 Commerce Street in Nashville, Tennessee.

In line with guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, we request patrons wear a face covering while conducting research in our facility. Patrons are encouraged to continue using the collection's online resources, email, and phone reference services. The Southern Baptist Periodical Index, normally a subscription service, is also available free of charge during this time.
