The Western Reserve School of Cooking was began in 1971 by Zona Spray. From 1971 to 1997 it was known as the Zona Spray School of Cooking. Along with the school, Zona had a cookware shop called The Cookery. Zona was well known in the area for her cooking classes and her extensive experience in the culinary field. In 1997 she sold the school and moved to Florida where she continues to write, travel and teach. In 1997 the school name was changed to the Western Reserve School of Cooking. Since then the school has had a few owners and is now owned by Catherine St. John.
