Stabo Scandinavian Imports was set up in 1972 in Fargo, North Dakota. The name of the store Stabo came from the Norwegian word stabbur which means storehouse. In 1988 the Stabo expanded when a 2nd location was opened in Bismarck, North Dakota. The Stabo specializes in selling gift items imported from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. Most of the merchandise is made in one of these countries or has a distinctive Scandinavian style to it.
