Musical Instruments in Santa Rosa, CA Stanroy Music Center 1st opened its doors in August 1947 at 622 fourth street when the 1st owner, Stan Goldman, returned to his home town of Santa Rosa after serving in various Army bands during WWII. From that original store, Stanroy had the spirit and desire to become the leading music store in the North Bay. In 1980 Wayne Anderson purchased the store from Stan and moved it to the previous 14, 000 square foot location at 741 fourth street.

Celebrating over seven decades in business, Stanroy Music Center has relocated to 850 4th Street in Santa Rosa: a bigger, brighter location that easily includes the sales, repair, and teaching facilities Sonoma County has come to know and trust. The new building is nearly 5,000 square feet, offering a large sales floor for new and used instruments from entry-level to professional, generous racks of sheet music, rooms for private tutoring, and an instrument repair shop.

Rentals
read moreStanroy Music Center rents band instruments, string instruments, guitars, basses and amplifiers for guitars and basses. Some of the rent may be applied to the purchase price of the instrument. See details below. There is a three (3) month minimum rental period. We require the first month of rent and a deposit equivalent to one month of rent at the time of rental. The rental price includes tax, damage, loss, and maintenance. Instruments subject to availability. Credit approval is also required. For faster service, you may print out and complete this Rental Application and bring it with you to Stanroy Music Center.
Music Lessons
read moreOur educational department is second to none. We have eleven spacious studios and over fifteen working, professional teachers providing hundreds of private lessons each week on a multitude of different instruments. Stanroy Music Center has the most experienced and comprehensive private teaching staff in Sonoma County. Lessons are available for the beginning to the advanced student. The rate of tuition ranges from $25 to $35 per half hour. Most of our instructor's bill tuition on a monthly basis.
Music Instrument Repair
read moreThe Repair Shop at Stanroy Music Center provides a wide range of instrument repair services for brass, woodwinds, orchestral strings, guitars, basses and numerous acoustic folk instruments. Sales people and repair persons will not be able to provide repair estimates or appraisals over the phone. We are not responsible for lost programs, sequences or other data in computer-based equipment such as keyboards, drum machines, sequencers, etc.
