Marwood Stout was born and raised in Southern California. He obtained his bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University, where he attended as a President's Scholar and graduated magna cum laude. He then attended the UCLA School of Dentistry as a Regent's Scholar, where he obtained a D. D. S. Degree and graduated cum laude. He is a member of the national honor societies Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After dental school, he completed an additional four years of residency training at the UCLA Medical Center to specialize in oral surgery and dental implant surgery.
