I'm embarrassed by the fact that contractors in general and roofing contractors in particular are one of the most complained about industries. Every time one person gets ripped off by an unscrupulous or incapable roofer, it reflects poorly on the legitimate contractors who have paid their dues, know their craft, and supply superior value to the homeowner. TV Shows like Dateline and 20/20 have made many attempts to educate consumers on how to protect themselves and select nice contractors.
