Suburban Steel Supply

Chuck Boster and Bill Jaeger established Suburban Steel Supply in 1979 in Summit Station, Ohio, with the aim of pioneering and developing the use of structural steel in domestic construction. Although domestic builders occasionally used steel, they found the product difficult to procure and use in the field. Boster and Jaeger focused on changing this perception by positioning Suburban Steel Supply as the ultimate service firm. Through the 1980s Suburban Steel grew and expanded beyond the domestic market to provide structural steel to commercial builders.
