read moreThe heart of TimeLine is our team of Company Members, who work closely together to shape the artistic vision and choose historically inspired programming that will create a dialogue about the social and political issues facing society today. But the TimeLine family extends much further, including Associate Artists and welcoming other emerging and established artists to contribute to the company's work. Through our first 23 seasons, TimeLine has presented 82 productions, including 10 world premieres and 38 Chicago premieres, and launched the Living History Education Program, now in its 14th year of bringing the company's mission to life for students in Chicago Public Schools.

Our next season offers four plays all new to Chicago: The previously announced, Tony Award-winning Oslo presented at Broadway In Chicago's Broadway Playhouse; plus an acclaimed but rarely performed 100-year-old play named one of the best of the 20th Century; a powerful and provocative play described by the playwright as "an expressionistic buzz saw through the contemporary myth that 'all lives matter;'" and a world premiere developed through TimeLine's Playwrights Collective.
