read moreBack in 1985, London Place Eye Centre (as we were then known) became the first clinic in Canada dedicated to corrective eye surgery. We continued to pioneer the science of vision correction, and were the first in British Columbia to use a laser to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness) and astigmatism. Later, we introduced the 'No Touch PRK' procedure; a non-invasive bladeless surgery that uses a cool beam of laser light to reshape the surface of the cornea. Unlike conventional Lasik vision correction, there is no cutting of the eye needed to create a flap.

read moreIn addition to the team of experienced surgeons, London Eye Centre is renowned for its experienced medical support staff. This staff performs laser consultation exams, follow-up visits, patient counseling and deal closely with the surgeons to provide London Eye Centre patients with the best possible medical care. London Eye Centre's medical team has decades of combined experience in the specialty of refractive surgery. Michelle obtained a diploma in optometry in South Africa in 1990. Moving to Canada, she worked in a number of Vancouver-area clinics including London Eye Centre, where she manages the pre- and post-operative care of laser vision correction patients.
