Trinity Episcopal Church

Churches in Seattle, WA
Churches in Seattle, WA By West Coast standards, Trinity Parish is an ancient community, 1st gathering in 1865 when the wounds of the Civil War were fresh in everyone's hearts. Today, we're a community of Christians busy reinventing ourselves within the urban center. For the 1st time in almost 75 years, people are returning to the inner city to live. All across the U. S. This new and yet old experiment is taking place. For Seattle, this means relearning how to be a community - a civitas - within a new frontier. Trinity believes this is a totally new opportunity.

About Us
read moreTrinity Parish is part of the Episcopal branch of the Jesus Movement. We find meaning in ancient traditions, and in contemporary expressions. We support the full inclusion of LGBTQ+ persons in the parish's life and ministry. This support is one specific aspect of our commitment to seek Christ in all people. At Trinity we seek to share God's unconditional love and acceptance of all, regardless of age, gender, race, marital or family status, disability, or economic means. We come from many different social and economic backgrounds and faith traditions, and we come from nearly every corner of the globe.
Ministries
read moreTrinity Parish is home to many seniors, many of them living in retirement communities in the downtown Seattle area, including Skyline, Horizon House, and Mirabella. Trinity participates in regular Eucharistic ministry in each of these communities, and conducts a weekly Bible study group at Skyline. Seniors at Trinity are engaged in a variety of ministries, including our monthly Community Suppers, the Friday morning Bible study group, the Sunday Forum, and yes, even our ministry to children and families!
Worship
read moreTrinity offers many weekly opportunities for worship, both on Sundays and throughout the week. Please refer to the Parish Calendar for the most up-to-date scheduling information. Many smaller services during the week are held in St. Margaret's Chapel, located in the north transept of the church. Virtually all Episcopal Churches in the U.S.A. are guided by the forms of service given in full in the Book of Common Prayer. This volume exists in a number of versions throughout the Anglican Communion, all of which are historically related to an original published in 1549 as part of the English Reformation.
