United American Bank opened its doors at 101 South Ellsworth Avenue in San Mateo on June 9, 2003. After a brief, highly successful capitalization campaign that raised over $15 Million, we obtained regulatory approvals from both the Department of Financial Institutions and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to officially conduct banking business. United American Bank is now one of the few locally owned & operated banks in the Bay Area.
