read moreIn 2004, a dedicated group of people living on Buffalo's West Side got together to brainstorm around the idea of developing a cooperative garden center in our neighborhood. We wanted to keep our dollars inside our fair city, but realized we were limited to big box or suburban stores. At the same time we recognized the opportunity for building a business in this up and coming neighborhood, five minutes from any yard on Garden Walk Buffalo. In 2005 we started offering "plant swaps, " polled area residents, and collected surveys.

read moreAll of our landscaping materials are bagged. We do not carry bulk product. Our mulches are hardwood and use only vegetable dyes when colored. We carry a variety of potting soils, compost/manure, topsoil/gardening soil, peat, and sand. Brands include locally source Good Earth, Organic Mechanics, Garden Magic, Black Gold, and Pioneer Southern. Please call us at (716) 362-8982 for current availability. We are a cooperatively-owned, for-profit retail garden center, offering plants and plant-related supplies.

Growing specifically for us and just a short trip in transit ensures that our plants are strong and healthy, not stressed and already acclimated to our area. When we cannot source locally we receive our plant product from the closest growers possible to ensure quality. Our selection of plant products cover annuals, perennials, natives, heirlooms, vegetables, herbs, ornamental trees and shrubs, evergreens along with fruiting trees and shrubs.
