Vallejo Community Organizations Recycling (VALCORE) is a coalition of local organizations working together to supply fund-raising opportunities for our Non-Profit Member Groups while delivering a recycling service to our community. We're a 501(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of VALCORE Recycling is to promote recycling, composting and reuse opportunities in our community. This is accomplished at our recycling center and through public education programs including a bi-weekly newspaper column called A Sorted Affair.

read moreDue to circumstances beyond our control, our buyback/donations program will be CLOSED on Saturdays until further notice. Our monthly Saturday Paper Shredding program is still available, though! ALL donations and MON-FRI Paper Shredding: At this time, cardboard, paper, dry clothes (in plastic bags), books and paper shredding will be preferred between 9AM-10AM. Other times may have a longer waiting period with buyback customers. Out of consideration for those waiting to get in, please bring in your materials fully sorted with caps off.

We are a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization. VALCORE is the acronym for Vallejo Community Organizations Recycling, Inc. The City of Vallejo's Beautification Advisory Commission established VALCORE in May of 1981. The organization is made up of service, educational, youth, and environmental grass roots organizations as well as interested community individuals.
