Dr. Elsa Cerdenas-Hagan is a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist and a Certified Academic Language Therapist. She holds a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She is the Director of Valley Speech Language and Learning Center in Brownsville, Texas and works with Texas Institute for Measurement Evaluation & Statistics at the University of Houston. She was recently appointed chairman for the State Dyslexia Advisory committee & appointed as a member of the State Advisory Council on Early Childhood Education and Care.

read moreOur center is dedicated to providing comprehensive speech and academic language evaluations in addition to empirically validated treatment programs. The evaluation process is conducted in 1-3 sessions. Once complete, a conference time is determinded to review the results and specific recommendations with the individual and family members. Subsequently, a meeting at the school is scheduled to coordinate the treatment process. Our center can provide teacher training sessions which address effective language and literacy interventions for English language learners.
