Elementary School in Ventura, CA Ventura Charter School of Arts and Global Education was awarded a grant from the California Department of Education to build a school based on its progressive, high-quality, student-centered educational program. Charter schools seek to expand educational choices for parents and kids in the public school system to improve student achievement. The Ventura County Board of Education approved the charter petition in spring, 2006, thus creating an additional public school choice for parents and their kids.
