Recognizing the growth in consumer use of social media tools, the Department has launched several sites including facebook, flickr, twitter and youtube. The sites are intended to supplement the Department's web page and supply additional means of announcing program updates and Department information to the public. Twitter is more specifically targeted at invasive species and noxious weeds with tweets for the recreating public. The YouTube video is concentrated on the Department's quagga mussel prevention program.
