read moreSome people like to push the envelope, but I prefer consistency in my life. Other than traveling across the U.S. after college with a couple of buddies to watch baseball games and go to the baseball hall of fame, I dont get too daring. That is, unless you count the fact that Im surrounded by so many women in my lifemy wife, three daughters and even 2 female dogs. Now thats daring, but the payoff is worth it. When Im not working, I like to golf, water ski and snow ski. Just like any sport or hobby, you have to be willing to work at it to get better. Its that way in the flooring business too. Creating new relationships with clients and meeting their flooring needs is something I continually try to improve on. I want to be able to gain a clients trust and earn their business every time.

read moreWhen youre racing downhill on a mountain bike at speeds of over 30 mph, you dont have time to think of much else except making it down without crashing. I guess thats what youd call focusing on the task at hand. Thats kind of how I deal with things. Whether Im mountain biking or helping a client, I like to focus all my energy on the situation facing me at that moment. Next to spending quality time with my family, working with my clients is the most rewarding thing I do.

read moreThere is nothing I enjoy more in life then being around happy people. Granted life is full of ups and downs, but I am of the personal belief that we all have a lot to be thankful for. In addition, happy people make me smile. For me, there is not better way to enjoy the happy people in my life than sharing a delicious Mexican meal. When I am not at work, you will likely find me somewhere on a golf course (hopefully not in a sand trap) or on a lake, (not on the golf course but fishing). Working in the flooring business has been very rewarding. Part of that reward is making a sale and experiencing the joy my customers have once their new floors are installed. Yes, a new floor can really change a persons outlook on their environment at home or at work. Most people are surprised to find out that I am 60 because of my enthusiasm for life and work. There is no such thing as slowing down for me. Now with grand kids and grown kids of my own, I believe it is my responsibility to help them to be the happiest people they can be, after all the best legacy I can give them is experiencing a happy grand dad and dad.

read moreI guess you could say I have some pretty eclectic hobbies and goals. Its not everyday you find someone who likes to jump off cliffs, but I can say Ive done it. I jumped off the high cliffs into Lake Powell. Not everything I do is that crazy though. One realistic, and less dangerous, goal of mine is to visit every major league baseball stadium. Then theres my calmer side. The one that likes classical music, cheesecake, and sunsets over the ocean. In the flooring business you have to be versatile like that. Every customer has different tastes and its good to be able to relate to them.
