read moreEmily offers a blend of therapies specifically chosen for a client's therapeutic needs. Emily's primary training is in Amma bodywork therapy. This form of acupressure is fantastic for moving blood and qi, invigorates the body and creates beneficial relaxation. Amma bodywork is also used to treat specific illness and organ system dysfunctions. Emily has incorporated massage therapy into sessions to help give extra relief of muscular-skeletal conditions such as neck, shoulder, and back pain. Sports Massage techniques such as PNF stretches; trigger point and strain/counterstrain techniques; cross fiber friction; are used for conditions such as injuries of the shoulder and ankle joints and low back pain such as sciatic.
