When the energy crisis hit in 1980, David Steele was a social worker at the Council on Aging in Aiken, S. C. Exploring avenues of energy conservation as a means to aid his customers eventually led him to the window business. Despite being told that No one would buy Andersen Windows in Augusta, Georgia he believed otherwise. Consequently, The Window Gallery was one of the 1st dedicated window centers in the nation. Nearly 30 years later, David and his staff have become one of the most respected window and door suppliers in the nation.
