York Companies was created in 1980 with the opening of York Brothers Lawn Care. Kevin York had begun mowing lawns at age 12 and his desire to be an entrepreneur grew strong. The lawn firm grew and developed over the next several years, soon becoming York Contractors. With the addition of irrigation installation and support, outdoor lighting design, and drainage control system installation, York Contractors. Quickly grew into a thriving business.
