Wife and husband, Dana and Patricia Austin, opened the Shop nearly three decades ago. Dana studied under Tschu Ho Lee at the Chicago School of Violin Making, while Patti taught the Suzuki Method. Over these past three decades, an extensive inventory has been acquired from private and worldwide venues.

John Hix opened his 1st guitar studio on Benton Street, on the E side of Aurora in his mother's house in 1946.
