Status Toy Rentals successfully operated from January 2007 until December 28th, 2009, when it was sold to a CO based car rental company after receiving an unsolicited offer.

The new owners changed the name, and within 18 months closed.

In 2011 the company's founder reacquired the rights, domains, etc., and considered reopening as Scottsdale Dream Cars / Exotic Rental Outlet. However, already involved with other ventures, passed on doing so .
