Some Use Cases for Monera Wastewater Treatment Solutions

Improving Anaerobic Digester Operation

Specialty blends of micronutrients, microbial cultures, microbial growth enhancers and neutralizing agents can be effective in stimulating (and re-establishing, if necessary) properly balanced biological activity in anaerobic sludge digesters.

Controlling Disease Outbreaks in a Shrimp Farm

Microcat-AL3 is a biologically active formula of bacterial strains with the ability to rapidly digest excess waste material in shrimp ponds.

GO

Controlling Hydrogen Sulfide in a Municipal Sewer System

Microcat®-ANL Odor Control Bioformula is a blend of strict and facultative anaerobic microbes selected for their ability to oxidize sulfides to elemental sulfur (collectively referred to as sulfur bacteria).

GO

Improving Nitrification in a Wastewater Treatment System

Maintaining optimal conditions in a wastewater treatment plant is not always practical since it can be cost prohibitive. Instead, several measures can be used to help maintain the nitrifying populations in the face of variable conditions.

GO

Optimizing Septic System Performance

Grease, fat, cellulose and related materials can solidify and build up on septic systems and plumbing. This can cause a very expensive problem. Here's how affordable microbial solutions can help.

GO

Reducing Fats, Oils and Greases (FOG) in a Collection System

Wastewater constituents can collect on the walls of the drains and in the traps of drainage/plumbing systems, causing blockages and odors. These problems can be treated biologically using bioaugmentation.

GO

Reducing Filaments in Wastewater Treatment Systems

The increase of certain types of filamentous bacteria can lead to foaming and other problems. Here's how microbial bioaugmentation can help solve the issue.

GO

Reducing the Use of Harmful Chemicals in Agriculture

As the main agents for breaking down organic material and recycling nutrients, microorganisms interact with plants at the root level, and in turn, influence growth and nutrition of the entire plant. Here's how they can reduce chemical use on farms.

GO

Bioremediating Contaminated Soils

Bioremediation technology exploits various naturally occurring mitigation processes: natural attenuation, biostimulation, and bioaugmentation.

GO

Reducing Biosolids In Wastewater Treatment Lagoons

Wastewater treatment lagoons are the oldest and most commonly used method for treating wastewater; however, there have been minimal advancements to improve their operation.

What Is Bioaugmentation?

Microbial wastewater treatment involves the use of microbes to enhance biological waste treatment systems’ ability to break down difficult-to-degrade organic compounds and handle highly variable waste treatment conditions.

With blends of specialized, naturally occurring microbes and other ingredients, our microbial products naturally enhance the biodegradation of wastewater by increasing the existing microbial population in the wastewater treatment plant. When added in a biological wastewater treatment plant, microbials result in aeration, odor control, phosphorous and nitrogen removal, and BOD reduction.
