Passport Application

Are you visiting the Consulate? Its recommend that applicants COMPLETE an Application Form and be in possession of all supporting documentation. Please go to services > then passport tab to access documents and information regarding the required process.

Passport Renewal (Online)

Do you have a passport that was issued after SEPT 2001? If all the information remains the same as in your current passport, you may utilize the online platform for the renewal. If not, you will be required to apply through the nearest Jamaican Consulate i.e. transmit your documents via courier service or apply in person.

The Consulate General of Jamaica is currently experiencing a backlog, we're requesting your patience as we work to assist all applicants.

Queries relating to Waiver of J-1 Visas (Request for Letter of No Objection) should write to consul@ jamaicacgmiami.org Kindly forward queries relating to visa, passport, and citizenship applications to consularinfo@ jamaicacgmiami.org. Prior to the transmission of applications to the Consulate via courier or mail package, applicants may opt to scan and send visa emails listed above to confirm whether application(s) have been correctly filled-out.

1. Nationals who have been issued an adult passport after SEPTEMBER 2001, [and are not making any change(s) to their application i.e. Name Change by Deed Poll, Marriage, Correction of Name(s) and or Date of Birth] are encouraged to utilize the online application process at the Passport, Immigration, Citizenship Agency at www.pica.gov.jm. IF ALL YOUR INFORMATION REMAINS THE SAME AS IN THE PASSPORT YOU ARE RENEWING. THIS PROCESS IS SAFE AND QUICKER THAN THROUGH THE CONSULATE. Please note when answering the eligibility questions, note question 6 refers to the new photograph that will be uploaded with your application. Additionally, there are question marks beside the fields in the application portal, which will explain or give an example of how to complete that field.
2. Applications may also be submitted via mail to the Consulate at 44 West Flagler Street, Suite 400, Miami, Florida 33130. Please submit ALL REQUIRED documents (a COMPLETED Application Form and all supporting documentation) to avoid delays in the processing of applications.
3. Applications submitted by mail may take in excess of 90 days to be processed.
4. Applicants should track their mail with the service provider to confirm delivery to the Consulate.
5. If the application is compliant, the new passport and original documents will be returned on completion of processing. The applicant will not be contacted prior to completion of process.
6. If the application is not compliant, the applicant will be contacted in due course.
7. Visa applicants and nationals who have a TRAVEL EMERGENCY and are unable to access a timely appointment may call 305-374-8431 / Ext. 223 between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM (EST). or email contactus@ jamaicacgmiami.org for appropriate guidance.
