Southern Rewinding & Sales was founded in 1986 as a small electric motor repair shop with two employees. Over 35 years, we have grown into one of the largest providers of industrial electrical and mechanical equipment sales and service in the Southeast, employing over 65 professionals with decades of combined experience. Our acquisition by Magnetech Industrial Services in 2015 expanded our capabilities through strategic partnerships, including Magnetech's Saraland shop, enabling 24/7 service for critical industrial needs. We specialize in complete generator and motor repair, rewind, reconditioning, and remanufacturing for all brands and vintages of AC/DC motors and generators. Our comprehensive services include preventative maintenance, 24/7 emergency response, and field machining, supported by a state-of-the-art machine shop with advanced capabilities. We provide transformer repair, rewind, and comparative analysis services for global manufacturers, along with complete pump installation, removal, and repair for vertical turbine, submersible, and centrifugal systems.

Our mechanical and electrical repair division handles AC/DC motors, drives, and electronics, featuring a 75-ton press, 48-inch lathes, and custom shaft design. We serve diverse industries including aerospace, mining, power generation, and municipal water works, maintaining certifications such as UL (#E325383), ATEX, and MSHA (#09001). Our team partners with leading vendors to deliver specialized components like carbon brushes, bearings, and industrial fans, ensuring technical precision and reliability.
