Empowering Families and Ending Violence in Amarillo
Family Support Services has been dedicated to empowering individuals and families in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle since 1908. Founded as Associated Charities by local businessmen, our organization has evolved to address critical community needs through comprehensive advocacy, education, and intervention services. We specialize in crisis support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking while providing behavioral health counseling and veteran-specific resources.

Our team of over 60 professionals and volunteers delivers culturally sensitive care across 15 programs, operating from our main facility at 2209 SW 7th Ave. We maintain 24/7 crisis response capabilities through bilingual helplines and operate an Emergency Safe House for survivors. With a focus on breaking cycles of violence and substance abuse, we deliver services in community settings including schools and hospitals while maintaining strict confidentiality and fiscal accountability.
