Guitarist Rob Szajkowski

I am a professional guitarist with a lifelong passion for music cultivated since childhood. My journey began at age 12 under my mother's guidance and formal training at a local music store, leading to advanced studies at UCSD and San Diego State University. I've had the privilege of learning from legendary musicians including the Los Romeros quartet and Carol Kaye, which has profoundly shaped my technical and artistic capabilities. With over three decades of performance experience across rock, jazz, and classical genres, I bring both versatility and depth to every lesson and performance. My teaching methodology focuses on personalized development, emphasizing individual strengths while addressing technical weaknesses through structured, goal-oriented instruction.

While my career expanded into photography and visual arts in my 30s, music remains my central passion, and I continue to teach, perform, and collaborate with musicians across San Diego and beyond. This dual perspective enriches my approach to musical education, combining creative artistry with technical precision. I maintain active performance schedules for weddings, corporate events, and private engagements while dedicating time to mentor students of all skill levels. My commitment to continuous learning ensures my teaching methods remain current and effective, adapting to evolving musical trends and pedagogical research.
