Landscape Design
Our award-winning design team creates customized outdoor spaces that blend aesthetic beauty with ecological functionality. We specialize in integrating permaculture principles, drought-tolerant plants, and sustainable hardscaping elements. Each design incorporates site-specific considerations like soil composition, water flow, and microclimates to create landscapes that thrive naturally while meeting client preferences for form and function.
Landscape Construction
We transform designs into reality using eco-conscious construction methods and locally sourced materials. Our team handles all aspects including masonry, carpentry, drainage systems, and water features. We employ low-impact techniques like sheet mulching and soil amendments while utilizing advanced technologies such as AirSpade for root protection and smart irrigation systems that optimize water usage through real-time weather monitoring.
Landscape Maintenance
Our maintenance services preserve landscape health through organic gardening practices and permaculture principles. We offer comprehensive care including plant pruning, soil amendment, integrated pest management, and irrigation system maintenance. Our approach focuses on building soil vitality through compost tea applications and mycorrhizal fungi while implementing water-wise techniques that reduce consumption by 30-40% compared to conventional methods.
Water Conservation
Equinox H2O specializes in water-saving solutions including rainwater harvesting systems, greywater reuse, and smart irrigation technologies. We design drought-resilient landscapes using native plants that require minimal supplemental water. Our certified professionals implement EPA-qualified water-efficient practices and create emergency water storage systems for wildfire preparedness while maintaining aesthetic appeal through creative earthworks and rain garden installations.
Native Garden Design
We create biodiverse ecosystems using California native plants adapted to local climate conditions. Our designs support pollinators and wildlife habitats while reducing water needs by up to 70%. The service includes selecting appropriate species for specific microclimates, implementing soil-building techniques that mimic natural ecosystems, and creating educational landscapes that demonstrate sustainable gardening practices through functional, aesthetically pleasing plant combinations.
