Your Trusted Partner for Custom Home Building in Eugene
At Rainbow Valley Design & Construction, we believe that doing well and doing good go hand-in-hand. Since 1971, we have been committed to enhancing our clients' lives through sustainable design and construction practices while fostering a positive community impact. Our journey began with a small team of carpenters and a visionary designer, Stephen Williams, who established our cooperative spirit. Over five decades, we have grown into an award-winning firm recognized for our expertise in sustainable building and design. As a design-build company, we streamline the construction process by integrating design and execution under one team, ensuring seamless communication and accountability. Our dedication to quality is underscored by a Five-Year Warranty on all projects, reflecting our confidence in craftsmanship and materials. Sustainability remains central to our mission, evidenced by milestones like Oregon's first LEED Certified Home and a 57kW solar array at our facility. We prioritize community giving, supporting causes from homelessness to environmental protection, and have maintained a team culture where employees often stay for decades. Our approach combines technical excellence with a commitment to people, planet, and progress, making us a trusted partner for clients seeking enduring, innovative spaces.

Report
RVDC has been a part of our home renovation for two years running. The first part of the project , living room, hallway, bathroom, proved to be more daunting than expected as they had to tear down to the studs in order to replace wiring, insulation (or lack thereof). Throughout the whole process the crew was extraordinarily efficient, helpful, always pleasant. Since we made the decision to live in the house while they were working, they made sure the place was cleaned up every night when we returned from work.
The crew is very good at anticipating needs and explaining procedures, so it was a learning experience. I grew so fond of everyone that we threw a celebration party on completion
A year later they were back to do the bedrooms and master bathroom, again down to the studs; again we decided to remain in the house, again efficient, helpful, and always pleasant.. We did not have any problems with budget concerns and there were some changes due to the size of the job once the walls and ceilings were removed.
It was discussed and dealt with very professionally. I would like to give a special thanks to Alec Dakers, Dean Lamoueux, and Phillip Baxter, all of whom are very professional, knowledgeable, and always available. We highly recommend RVDC and when we decide upon the third phase of the renovation project, they will be the ones we call.
