Welcome to First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church has been a spiritual cornerstone in Alexandria, Virginia since its founding. Our mission is to glorify God by equipping believers with biblical truth and empowering them to live out their faith in practical ways. Through weekly worship services, Sunday School classes for all ages, and specialized ministries for children, teens, and adults, we strive to create an environment where individuals can grow in their relationship with Christ. Our AWANA program and Kingstowne Kids initiatives provide structured opportunities for young people to learn scripture while building community. The church emphasizes personal discipleship through Bible Institute courses and one-on-one mentoring programs. With a strong commitment to global missions, we support church planting efforts and missionary work across six continents. Our facilities feature accessible worship spaces, secure childcare environments, and modern technology for both in-person and online participation. The leadership team combines decades of ministry experience with academic credentials in theology and education. We maintain rigorous safety protocols including background checks for volunteers and secure check-in systems for children's programs. Our worship style blends traditional hymns with contemporary elements while maintaining doctrinal integrity through KJV-based teaching. The church actively engages in local outreach through community service projects and partnerships with regional organizations.

The 10:15am service includes traditional hymns with modern instrumentation, while the 5:00pm service offers a more casual atmosphere. Both services focus on practical application of scripture through expository preaching. Childcare and age-specific programs are available during both services.
AWANA Clubs
AWANA programs provide structured Bible learning for children ages 2 through 8th grade. Weekly meetings include scripture memorization, interactive games, and character-building activities. Certified leaders guide age-specific curricula from Puggles for toddlers through Trek for middle schoolers. Special events and theme nights enhance the learning experience while maintaining focus on biblical principles.
Bible Institute
The Kingstowne Baptist Bible Institute offers in-depth theological education for spiritual growth and ministry preparation. Courses cover biblical studies, theology, and practical ministry skills. The program emphasizes personal discipleship and equips believers for church service through both classroom instruction and mentorship opportunities. Classes are available for various experience levels from new believers to ministry leaders.
