Trusted Community Support & Early Childhood Education in Savannah
Since 1949, Wesley Community Center has been a beacon of hope for women, children, and families. Rooted in the mission of the United Methodist Women, our organization began as Savannah's Bethlehem Center, serving 25 children in a borrowed facility. In 1972, we merged with the Inner City Community Center to form the modern Wesley Community Center. As a United Methodist Mission Institution, we embody the values of faith, hope, and love through transformative programs. Our 75-year legacy includes early childhood education, crisis intervention, and community empowerment initiatives.

Guided by compassion and social justice, we provide nationally accredited childcare, emergency food assistance, and family support services. Our STEAM-focused learning environments and summer youth programs foster resilience and opportunity. We maintain partnerships with local organizations to address systemic challenges while upholding the highest standards of accountability and care. Through financial contributions, volunteer service, and community engagement, we continue to build stronger futures for all residents of Savannah.

Our licensed educators create developmentally appropriate learning environments that foster cognitive, social, and emotional growth through hands-on activities and creative exploration.
Crisis Intervention
The J.R. Paddison Family Life Center offers critical support services including emergency food distribution, utility assistance, and rental aid. Our case managers provide SNAP assistance, financial literacy education, and personalized crisis intervention plans. We serve individuals and families facing economic hardship through compassionate, needs-based support programs.
Emergency Food Assistance
Monthly food distribution events provide nourishing groceries to individuals and families in need. Our program operates the first Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering emergency food supplies to combat hunger in the Savannah community. This initiative helps bridge nutritional gaps while connecting families with additional support resources.
Summer Youth Arts Camp
Our full-day summer camp for ages 5-12 promotes cultural awareness through arts education and career exploration. Children engage in creative activities, field trips, and guest speaker sessions while developing literacy and social skills. The program includes a culminating theatrical production celebrating diversity and cultural understanding.
Career Development Programs
Designed for ages 10-12, this program introduces career exploration through hands-on business creation experiences. Participants learn product development, marketing strategies, and business planning fundamentals.
