Santo Driving School

Founded in 1966 by Santo Calafiore, a multilingual Italian immigrant, our driving school has evolved from a single-car operation to a trusted Hartford-area institution. We specialize in driver education for teens and adults, emphasizing safety, correct driving habits, and personalized instruction. Our certified instructors, fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, bring over 150 combined years of experience to the classroom and behind the wheel. We prioritize customer satisfaction through competitive pricing, flexible scheduling, and a commitment to exceeding state requirements. Our fleet of well-maintained vehicles and two convenient locations in Hartford and Rocky Hill reflect our dedication to accessibility and quality.

Generations of drivers have benefited from our programs, which include 30-hour teen courses, 8-hour adult safety classes, and Spanish-language instruction. We maintain transparency in pricing, offer walk-in availability, and provide vehicle use for DMV testing. Our reputation, built entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, underscores our focus on integrity, professionalism, and community service. With evening and weekend hours at our Rocky Hill location, we accommodate diverse schedules while maintaining rigorous safety standards. As a family-owned business now led by Sal Calafiore, a Master Instructor, we continue to innovate while preserving the values that have sustained us for over five decades.
