Your Trusted Insurance Partner for Water and Sewer Districts
Established in 1987, the Water & Sewer Risk Management Pool (WSRMP) was created by Washington State water and sewer districts to address the lack of affordable insurance options during the 1980s. As a public-entity insurance pool governed by Washington RCW Chapter 48.62, we enable member districts to self-insure while providing comprehensive coverage and risk management programs. Owned and controlled by the districts we serve, our organization reinvests all profits back into member benefits. Our mission focuses on delivering specialized risk management services, broad coverage, and stable costs to protect water and sewer utilities. With a seven-member Executive Committee composed of district representatives and a dedicated three-person staff, we maintain oversight through regular meetings and transparent governance. Our core values of Respectful, Accurate, Reliable, and Ethical (RARE) practices guide every decision. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, we serve water and wastewater districts across the Pacific Northwest, offering liability coverage up to $10M per occurrence, property coverage up to $200M, and specialized lines including cyber insurance, earthquake protection, and terrorism coverage.
