Welcome to St Edmond Catholic Church
St Edmond Catholic Church serves as a spiritual home for the Lafayette community, dedicated to fostering faith, worship, and service. Founded on the principles of Catholic teachings, we provide sacraments, faith formation programs, and ministries for all ages, from youth to seniors. Our parish emphasizes community engagement through outreach initiatives, educational series, and opportunities for Eucharistic adoration. With a focus on spiritual growth and fellowship, we strive to create an inclusive environment where individuals can deepen their relationship with God.Our team of clergy and lay leaders work collaboratively to support parishioners through lifes milestones, from baptism to anointing of the sick. Through weekly Masses, retreats, and special events, we aim to inspire active participation in the Catholic faith. Our commitment to transparency and service is reflected in our financial stewardship and dedication to maintaining sacred spaces for worship and reflection.

Services
Sacraments
We offer the seven Catholic sacraments, including baptism, Eucharist, confirmation, and anointing of the sick. These sacred rituals mark key moments in a believer's spiritual journey. Our clergy provide guidance for preparation and participation in these essential rites of the Church.
Faith Formation
Our programs cater to all ages, from children's CCD classes to adult faith enrichment series. The Foundations of Faith initiative explores Catholic teachings through a 20-part video series. We also host Bible studies and youth confirmation preparation programs.
Youth Ministry
LIFT (Youth) and PULSE (Young Adult) programs engage 18-25 year olds through scripture study and fellowship. Monthly youth nights follow the 5pm Mass, offering activities for grades 6-12. Retreats and conferences provide spiritual growth opportunities.
Eucharistic Adoration
A dedicated free-standing chapel provides 24/7 access for prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. This initiative expands our previous forty-hour devotion program, offering a reverent space for personal and communal worship.
Community Outreach
We support local needs through food drives, crisis pregnancy assistance, and post-abortion healing programs. The DesOrmeaux Foundation funds special projects, while nursing home ministry and ride-to-church services ensure inclusion for all parishioners.
