First Pioneers FCU was chartered in 1949 by AT&T employees to provide for the financial well-being of its members. We have grown into a full-service financial institution dedicated to meeting the needs of our members with heart. Our mission is to walk alongside our members through every step of their financial journey, guided by a volunteer Board of Directors elected by the membership. Since our founding, we have expanded from offering basic savings and loans to providing a comprehensive range of services, including checking accounts, savings programs, credit cards, and mortgage solutions. We serve over 70 select employee groups across five Louisiana parishes, maintaining a commitment to community involvement through support for local events, charities, and educational initiatives.

Our 24-hour telephone banking system ensures accessibility, while our physical branches in Lafayette and New Iberia offer personalized service. We prioritize financial education and transparency, requiring only a $5 minimum deposit to open an account and maintaining clear fee structures. As a member-owned cooperative, we reinvest profits to benefit our members through competitive rates and low-cost loans.
