Your Home for Gospel-Centered Worship in South Bend
Community Baptist Church was founded in 1947 with a steadfast commitment to aligning every aspect of ministry with the Word of God. Our unaffiliated status allows us to maintain doctrinal independence while focusing on expositional preaching, practical equipping of believers, and global gospel outreach. As a welcoming congregation in South Bend, we prioritize spiritual growth through age-appropriate programs and family-friendly worship experiences. Our Sunday services include Sunday School at 9:30 AM, Worship Service at 10:30 AM, and an Evening Service at 6:00 PM (excluding the fourth and fifth Sundays). We offer children's ministries, nurseries, and community-building initiatives like Upward Soccer to serve local families. Through expository sermons and gospel-centered teachings, we aim to create an environment where individuals can deepen their faith and share Christ's message. Our online presence extends this mission globally via livestream services and podcast ministries. With over seven decades of service, we remain dedicated to making disciples both locally and internationally while maintaining a strong emphasis on biblical truth and community engagement.

Services
Sunday Worship
Our main worship gathering features expository preaching and gospel-centered teaching. Held Sundays at 10:30 AM, this service includes congregational singing, scripture reading, and practical biblical instruction. The service creates space for spiritual reflection and community connection while maintaining a focus on Christ-centered worship.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes provide age-specific Bible instruction for all family members. Meeting at 9:30 AM weekly, these interactive sessions explore scripture through discussion and application. Classes are available for children, youth, and adults seeking deeper biblical understanding and spiritual growth opportunities in a supportive learning environment.
Evening Service
Midweek worship opportunities include our Sunday Evening Service at 6:00 PM (first three Sundays monthly). This smaller gathering format emphasizes personal connection and deeper spiritual exploration. The service includes focused prayer time, scripture meditation, and practical teaching designed to strengthen daily Christian living.
Kids Ministry
Age-appropriate programs engage children during all worship services. Our nursery and children's classes use interactive teaching methods to introduce biblical concepts. Safety-checked volunteers provide structured activities that align with Sunday School lessons while creating a welcoming environment for young learners and their families.
Youth Group
Our youth program serves middle and high school students through weekly gatherings and special events. Activities combine fellowship, worship, and relevant biblical teaching addressing modern challenges. The program emphasizes peer connection and spiritual development while preparing young people for adult discipleship roles.
