Your Trusted Source for Food Assistance and Community Support
Arvada Community Food Bank was founded in 1982 by concerned citizens in Arvada, Colorado. Over four decades, we have grown into one of the largest emergency food providers in the metro Denver area. Our mission centers on providing food, help, and hope to struggling families through a wide range of services, including emergency food assistance, financial aid, public benefits application support, and health services. We expanded our offerings in 2014 to include programs addressing poverty alleviation, such as client computer access and emergency rent assistance. In 2019, we introduced shower and laundry services, a free health clinic, and nutrition programs.

Our team of dedicated staff and hundreds of volunteers serves thousands of families annually across Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Westminster, Thornton, North Denver, and Federal Heights. We operate with core values of compassion, integrity, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring we meet immediate needs while fostering long-term self-sufficiency. Our transparency and accountability are demonstrated through publicly available financial reports and annual audits. We rely on community support through donations, partnerships, and volunteer efforts to sustain and expand our impact.
