V Fontana

V Fontana has been a family-owned and operated business since its founding in April 1921 by Valerio Fontana. For over a century, we have maintained continuous operation from the historic Fontana Building, serving San Francisco and the greater Bay Area with unbroken family stewardship across four generations. Our expertise lies in the custom fabrication of granite and marble products, including memorials, monuments, and commercial signage, utilizing a self-contained manufacturing plantthe only independent facility of its kind on the West Coast. We source granite blocks globally and employ advanced techniques such as diamond sawing, wire sawing, and laser engraving to create durable, high-quality works. Our commitment to service and customer satisfaction has been the cornerstone of our business since the 1920s, supported by a reputation for reliability and craftsmanship.

We specialize in resurfacing and restoring existing memorials, offering personalized design solutions tailored to individual needs. Our team provides comprehensive support for both personal and commercial projects, ensuring locally manufactured, finished products that meet cemetery regulations and client specifications. With over 100,000 memorials placed, we combine traditional artistry with modern technology to preserve legacies. Our dedication to quality is reflected in our membership in professional organizations and our focus on resolving client concerns promptly. Today, we continue to uphold the values of integrity, expertise, and community service established by our founder.
