Services
Worship Services
Holy Cross offers two weekly worship experiences: an intimate 8 a.m. service with organ and piano, and a festive 10 a.m. service featuring choir-led liturgies. Both follow Lutheran worship patterns of Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending. Children participate in Godly Play during the 10 a.m. service, while all ages engage with global musical traditions through our award-winning music program.
Youth Ministries
Our 6.1.2 Youth Ministry serves grades 6-12 with weekly Wednesday gatherings featuring meals, games, and spiritual exploration. Summer programs include mission trips and wilderness experiences. The ministry follows Jesus' example of empowering youth, offering both local engagement and global outreach opportunities through a contemporary Christian framework.
Adult Education
GPS (Guided Prayerful Study) offers nine-month faith journeys for adults exploring Christianity. Weekly Bible studies include Living the Lectionary and Women of the ELCA groups. Our programs emphasize practical application of scripture through discussion-based learning and spiritual practices that connect ancient faith with modern challenges.
Labyrinth & Prayer Park
The 24/7 accessible prayer labyrinth provides a space for contemplative walking meditation. Based on ancient sacred geometry, this tool for spiritual reflection includes seasonal events and guided experiences. The adjacent prayer park offers year-round outdoor space for personal and group spiritual practices in a natural setting.
Music Ministries
Our music program features Chancel Choir, Chancel Bells, and seasonal ensembles. Rehearsing in professional facilities, these groups lead worship with diverse repertoire spanning chant to gospel. The Detroit Handbell Ensemble partnership brings national-caliber performances, while community musicians contribute to our vibrant worship arts program.
