Your Home for Worship and Community in Visalia, CA
Grace Lutheran Church has been a spiritual cornerstone in Visalia since 1907, dedicated to fostering a vibrant community centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make disciples through worship, education, and outreach, embracing both tradition and contemporary practice. We offer diverse worship services, including English and Lahu-Shi language options, to serve our multicultural congregation. Our commitment extends beyond the church walls through global missions, local charity work, and community-building initiatives. With a focus on biblical teachings, we provide Sunday School, preschool, and youth programs to nurture faith across generations. Our congregation actively engages in fellowship through small groups, Bible studies, and service opportunities.

We believe in welcoming all individuals, encouraging them to grow in faith and contribute their unique gifts. Through partnerships in Thailand and support for local organizations, we strive to impact lives worldwide. Our leadership team, including Pastor Soun See, brings theological expertise and cultural understanding to guide our community. By blending traditional hymns with modern worship elements, we create an inclusive environment for spiritual growth. As stewards of God's creation, we emphasize service, generosity, and compassion in all aspects of ministry.

Services
Worship Services
Grace Lutheran Church offers three weekly worship services: traditional English at 8:00 AM, contemporary English at 10:30 AM, and Lahu-Shi language service at 1:00 PM. Each service emphasizes biblical teachings through scripture readings, sermons, and music blending traditional hymns with modern worship songs. The Lahu-Shi service incorporates cultural elements while maintaining theological depth for Southeast Asian community members.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School program provides age-appropriate Christian education for children, focusing on biblical stories, moral values, and faith development. Classes meet weekly following the 8:00 AM service, combining interactive learning with worship preparation. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on activities and scripture-based lessons to establish foundational Christian knowledge in a nurturing environment.
LWML Ministry
The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) organizes monthly meetings, mission projects, and outreach initiatives. Activities include mite box offerings for global missions, craft sales supporting local charities, and community service projects. Members engage in Bible studies, fellowship events, and special programs like the annual Boutique & Luncheon that funds various charitable causes.
Lahu Ministry
This specialized ministry serves the Lahu-Shi community through weekly worship services in their native language, Christian education programs, and cultural preservation efforts. Led by Pastor Soun See, the ministry combines traditional Lahu practices with Lutheran theology, offering a bridge between heritage and faith while supporting global mission work in Thailand.
Small Groups
Grace offers multiple small group opportunities for spiritual growth and community connection. Current groups include Simon's Small Group (Sundays at 7:00 PM), Hackbarth's Small Group (Mondays at 6:30 PM), and Shoenhair's Small Group (Sundays at 12:30 PM). These groups combine Bible study with social activities, providing intimate settings for faith discussions and relationship building.
