Ocmulgee Arts

Ocmulgee Arts has served the Southeast as a premier art destination for over four decades. Founded in 1980 by the Burkhalter family, we specialize in curating diverse artistic expressions across multiple mediums including oils, acrylics, watercolors, and investment-grade pieces. Our full-service custom framing department caters to both individual collectors and commercial clients, offering conservation framing solutions for items ranging from children's artwork to historic memorabilia. We distinguish ourselves through personalized service, combining family-owned expertise with a commitment to making art accessible across all price points. Our team's collaborative approach has resulted in installations for universities, hospitals, and private collections throughout the region.

Recent projects include preparing a private train memorabilia collection for museum display, demonstrating our adaptability to unique client needs. Beyond fine art, we offer curated home decor selections including custom mirrors and lighting fixtures to enhance residential and commercial spaces. With three generations of experience, we maintain a hands-on philosophy that prioritizes client relationships over transactional interactions. Our physical gallery in Macon, Georgia, operates Tuesday through Saturday, complemented by an online shop for broader accessibility. Whether assisting with corporate art programs or personal collections, our mission remains to enrich lives through thoughtful curation and expert consultation.
