Services
Tomiki Aikido
Tomiki Aikido combines self-defense techniques with philosophical principles of harmony and non-resistance. Our structured curriculum teaches students to neutralize attacks using body mechanics and controlled movements. Classes emphasize safety, practical application through randori (sparring), and progressive rank promotion through the ATAA system.
Randori Training
Randori develops practical self-defense skills through dynamic partner drills. Students learn to apply Aikido techniques against realistic attacks while maintaining ethical boundaries. This practice builds reflexes, spatial awareness, and the ability to adapt techniques to unpredictable situations.
Rank Promotion
Our ATAA-sanctioned rank system provides clear progression from beginner to advanced levels. Students demonstrate technical proficiency, philosophical understanding, and teaching ability at each rank. Requirements include minimum training hours, technical knowledge, and character development.
Weapons Training
Weapons training with bokken (wooden sword) and jo (staff) enhances understanding of Aikido principles. Students learn to defend against weapon attacks while developing precision, timing, and spatial awareness. These techniques directly inform empty-hand applications.
Community Classes
Regular classes include technical instruction, ukemi (falling practice), and philosophical discussions. Students participate in maintenance activities fostering community bonds. No mandatory fees ensure accessibility while maintaining high-quality training facilities.
