Your Trusted Source for Premium Furniture Since 1924
Stanley Furniture was founded in April 1924 by Thomas Bahnson Stanley in Henry County, Virginia, with a vision to create high-end furniture rooted in craftsmanship and community. Drawing from the legacy of his father-in-law, John D. Bassett of Bassett Furniture, the company established Stanleytowna self-sustaining community with 100 homesto support employees and their families. Over a century, the brand has weathered economic challenges, including the Great Depression, while maintaining a commitment to quality materials and artisan finishes. The company innovated through automation while preserving traditional techniques, introduced culturally resonant collections like the Norman Rockwell-inspired line, and championed domestic manufacturing, such as reviving the 'Young America' line in the U.S.Today, under new Scandinavian ownership, Stanley Furniture continues to honor its founding values of craftsmanship, innovation, and community, offering heirloom-quality pieces that blend timeless design with modern needs.
