Welcome to St Stephens Episcopal Church
St Stephens Episcopal Church has served the Lynn, Massachusetts community since 1881, offering inclusive worship rooted in the Anglican tradition. Our mission centers on fostering spiritual growth through Bible study, sacramental practice, and community engagement. We provide intergenerational learning programs from early childhood through senior adulthood, emphasizing anti-racism education and social justice initiatives. Our congregation actively participates in local outreach through the ECCO Food Pantry and community organizing efforts addressing housing, education, and public safety.

With two weekly worship services featuring traditional and contemporary elements, we welcome all individuals to experience faith in a diverse, affirming environment. The church's historic Gothic-Romanesque building stands as a testament to our enduring commitment to community service and spiritual development.

Worship Services
St. Stephen's offers two weekly worship services following Anglican traditions. The 8:00 AM service provides quiet, contemplative prayer while the 10:00 AM service features music and communal participation. Both services include Holy Eucharist and use liturgical texts from the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer, with special services for feast days and holy seasons.
KIC Summer Program
This four-week summer program serves elementary-aged children from Lynn's diverse communities. The free program focuses on arts education, academic enrichment, and social-emotional development. Activities include music, drama, community service projects, and field trips while maintaining state health and safety regulations for youth programs.
ECCO Food Pantry
Our weekly food pantry provides essential groceries to local families in need. As part of the Essex County Community Organization network, we distribute fresh produce, shelf-stable items, and personal care products to support food security in our community through regular distribution schedules.
Adult Formation
We offer ongoing educational programs for adult spiritual growth including Bible studies, book discussion groups, and anti-racism training. These sessions explore scripture, church traditions, and contemporary applications of faith through both seasonal programs and year-round study opportunities.
Youth Group
Our Oasis Community Youth Group engages teenagers through faith-based activities and community service projects. The program combines spiritual exploration with social connection, offering young people opportunities to develop leadership skills while exploring their place in the church and wider community.
